Hello, fellow bibliophiles! I’m Aubrey, the current voice behind A Novel Philosophy.

Since the day I could first string letters into words, I’ve been captivated by the written word. I love the power and emotion a single phrase can elicit, and don’t get me started on the incredible characters I’ve met along the way. There’s something so unique about watching a story unfold page after page.

I was often the new kid in school growing up, an unfortunate by-product of my father’s military career. While I had incredible opportunities to travel and see life in different locations and cultures, I struggled with loneliness and anxiety with each new move. Being the new kid sucks when you’re an introvert. Books quickly became my escape. For a few brief hours, I could let go of the stress of a new home and fall deep into one incredible world after another.

As I grew older, that love never faded. Reading time is a little harder to come by, but I still have those perfect moments when the world dissolves away as I descend into a new adventure. When I’m not reading, you’ll find me running (jogging slowly) around the neighborhood, spending time with loved ones, and cuddling with my beloved miniature dachshund.

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of stories to shape our minds and hearts, and I’m excited to share this journey with you.
